1. My classroom will be a place that serves
my students and supports equal educational opportunities, while providing
students with academic and life-skills. Attributes, such as independence, work
ethic and empathy, will be a daily experience for my students. The classroom
will be a safe place, where I am an advocate for my students; stereotypes will
be eliminated and diversity will be celebrated. Activities will be made
meaningful to students and cooperative learning will be a daily occurrence in
order to enhance learning. I will give my absolute best to my students every
day I am in the classroom.
2. I have used technology throughout my life. I started playing computer games at a young age and remember starting to use technology, as a resource, in middle school. I had to type papers and use the internet to conduct research. Now, I primarily use it for school work as well.
3. In my opinion, technology integration means having and using technology within the classroom which benefits both the teacher and students. Technology can be beneficial for the students by allowing them to conduct research on a computer, interact in lesson plans on a SMART Board or be involved in independent learning using an tablet.
4. I would love to have a small set of tablets in my future classroom in order for students to use during centers or Daily 5 time. I will also integrate lesson plans that allow students to be interactive by using the SMART Board. For example, I just taught a lesson to a first grade group that allowed to students to classify objects as solids or liquids on the SMART Board at the end of the lesson. Part of my lesson was also taught on the SMART Board.
